Art Commission - Egyptian Bestiary
Project timeline: September 20, 2025 - October 20, 2025
Hey folks,
We’re launching a new bestiary—this time featuring Egyptian monsters—and you’re invited to take part and become part of the book.
Publication & Credits
Our target publication date is late September 2025. Everyone who contributes will be credited in the book’s Illustration Credits as the artist of their piece, and you’ll receive a free e-book copy. This will be an official release with an ISBN, so you can list the project in your portfolio.
How to Participate
You must be 18+, enjoy creating digital illustrations, and agree to our Copyright Agreement (link—please read carefully).
Commissions
Below you’ll find commission slots, each with a unique number (include it in the reservation form). You’ll also find a high-res PNG with guidance if you need it. Check each slot’s status: Available / Reserved / Finished. The Payment field shows the commission fee; payouts are made via PayPal.
Each commission includes a reference image of the monster, required fields, and the background brief. If you need a higher-resolution file, click [LINK to PNG].
Artwork Guidelines
The task is straightforward: redraw the provided monster.
• Your illustration must be at least as detailed as the reference.
• Without background.
• Bring your own style, but preserve the core concept and distinctive features. If it has long ears, they stay long; if it has no wings, don’t add wings. Keep key details (e.g., a yellow beard or red eyes)—changing them alters the meaning.
• You may change the pose, limb positions, tail, or mane flow at your discretion.
In short: reinterpret it in your style while keeping the original design and signature traits.
Timeline & Payment — How it works
1. Choose a monster and fill out the reservation form (we use your information for the Copyright Agreement and payment).
2. In the form, set a deadline for each illustration. If you reserve three, use different dates (e.g., 08/28/2025, 09/02/2025, 09/07/2025). Deadlines must be within two weeks of submitting the reservation. If you miss a deadline, the commission will be reassigned.
3. Each artist may reserve up to 3 illustrations at a time. After those are approved, you can reserve the next three.
4. Before you begin working on your illustration, check the commission status. It should change to “Reserved” with your name listed (for example: Reserved — Sergiusz J.). Only start drawing once the status shows your reservation.
5. When your illustrations are ready, submit them via the form.
6. Once we approve your piece for publication, we’ll send you the Copyright Agreement to sign and return through the same form.
7. After we receive the signed agreement, we’ll send your payment via PayPal (other payment options available if needed).
