1.INTRIGUING STORYLINES: The GM will immerse players in diverse and captivating adventures. For example, one storyline might focus on uncovering long-lost technologies, sending players on a quest to locate a hidden shelter—a relic from the cybernetic boom era, when breakthroughs served humanity and corporations were only just beginning to emerge. Successfully discovering this shelter could shift the balance of power in the fight against corporate tyranny.

2. DETAILED NPC DESCRIPTIONS: For example, Dr. Valentina Alvarez is a scientist dedicated to preserving past technologies that could benefit humanity. The GM can leverage her personality and motives to enrich the narrative, adding emotional depth and tension. Each NPC entry includes a General Description, Role-playing Tips, Personality traits, Biography, Distinctions, and sometimes details of their Personal Life.

Note: Well-developed NPCs are always a crucial part of any story. In this book, we aim to explore every aspect in as much detail as possible. In the free sample we’ve provided, you’ll find a description of Dr. Valentina Alvarez. While developing her character, we included elements of her personal life to reveal the personality and principles she has formed over the years, as illustrated through her actions and dialogue.

3. THEMATIC LOCATIONS AND ATMOSPHERIC SCENES: Players will encounter unique locales—from secret rooftop hideouts atop megabuildings to hidden sites in the Azores. Some locations are entirely fictional, while others are inspired by real-world places. This blend is designed to balance realism with an immersive fictional world, enhancing the overall atmosphere.

For example, on the Azores Islands, the government took steps to protect certain European plant species. They aimed to prevent these plants from disappearing entirely if they were lost on the mainland. Thanks to the islands’ stable and isolated climate, the Azores became a natural “backup,” preserving these rare species for future generations.

4. UNIQUE PUZZLES - CHALLENGES: Puzzles are a key element of this book and play a major role in the adventure. For example, players may need to decipher an access key for a device from the past that reveals the location of the Hideout. The GM can provide hints or guide players through a series of steps to solve these challenges. Tasks might range from classic brainteasers and various forms of ciphers to decoding binary sequences.

Note: These puzzles are designed to immerse players fully in the sci-fi atmosphere. The author believes they add a distinct flavor to the game thanks to their integration into scenarios and narrative hooks. Some puzzles may prove difficult, so the GM should offer step-by-step hints or actions to prevent players from feeling stuck. The focus is on player engagement in the puzzle-solving process. The GM should therefore distribute clues in a way that maintains momentum and avoids dead ends. Hitting an impassable barrier can be discouraging, but overcoming each step toward a solution brings a sense of triumph. Solving a challenging puzzle—especially one critical to advancing the story—will leave a lasting impression. Additionally, GMs might allow players time to ponder tough puzzles between sessions, sustaining interest and building anticipation for the next step in their journey.

5. HOSTILE CORPORATE FORCES AND TENSION: As players search for information and track down the Hideout, they’ll face corporate agents and spies. The GM can introduce elements of danger, challenging the group to evade or outsmart corporate patrols as if navigating a field of traps. This book doesn’t just feature battles against corporations; it also explores technical anomalies, such as the emergence of AI consciousness—how and when it appeared, how it was detected, and the possible consequences that follow.

6. RANDOM TABLES: These tables are designed to add variety and unpredictability to the scenario. The scenario includes 1d4, 1d6, and 1d10 tables, ensuring it can be replayed multiple times while staying fresh.
